PORTRAITS RATES

Rates do not include shipping. Shipping will be calculated at the time of purchase. If you are a local Southbay resident we may be able to arrange a pick-up/drop-off

To order you may:

• E-mail me at info@marycaldera.com with your name, phone number, address, size & type of portrait you would like, the date you would like the portrait delivered by (for gift portraits I will do everything possible to have your portrait finished and shipped to you in time - If you have a deadline please contact me at least 3 weeks in advance). Include a description of how you would like the portrait to look - be as descriptive as possible, include references to the portraits in my portfolio of styles/colors/decorations/etc. that you like. Include photo attachments of the person(s) you want drawn for me to reference. Include attaments or links of other portraits or images tyles/colors/decorations/etc. that you like.
  • I will respond to your email as soon as I can to clarify your order and special requests, and to confirm the total portrait price.
  • If the total cost of your portrait and all Extra Effects comes to more than $100 I may request a $20 deposit to begin work.
  • I will e-mail you scanned images of the progress of your work as need to make any clarifications, in some cases I may need to make a preliminary sketch to confirm a very detailed request. I may request higher resolution or clearer photos of the subject if needed.
  • I will send you a final scanned image of the finished portrait for your approval, payment is due at this time. I will ship the portrait when payment has been received.

                            I would like the attached black & white photo of my grandparents drawn in colored pencils.
                            I have attached a scan of the original photo, and more recent additional color photos of my
                            grandparents so you can see their skin tones and hair color. My grandmother's dress should
                            be baby blue with white lace and my grandfather's shirt should be navy blue, the bow tie is
                            red. I want their portrait drawn in style that you used for your portrait of Baby V. I would like a
                            border drawn on the portrait like the one here: (include link to webpage) in gold.        

I finish portraits as quickly as possible given each individual portrait's size, media, style and special needs. If you would like your portrait drawn directly from a refernce photo with a plain background and only minor changes I may finish in as soon as 3 days for a 4x6 Ink Portrait of one person to as long as 3 weeks for a 9x12 Color Pencil Portrait of two people. If you want a background drawn in or special design work like drawing someone as their favorite fictional character I will need more time. Once I have your reference photos I may take a couple of days to discuss with you the style or theme you want, especially if you need me to come up with a Full Illustrated Background or Border Design. Every portrait is different and takes its own amount of time. If your request if very detailed I may create preliminary sketches to make sure I understand what you need. I will e-mail you a final image of your portrait to confirm it is what you like before mailing it off to you.
